Laundry Room & Upstairs Hall

Our home inspection listed the shape of our house as "irregular, but functional." I think the "irregular" part may have something to do with the two steps in the upstairs hall, as well as the two steps down into the family room. The only thing I have to do to the hall is paint the trim white and hang pictures (and eventually get new carpet. Ugh, berber.

The laundry room is getting a buggy treatment. I have buggy accessories and am going to (eventually) stamp bugs on the walls. I've hung a drying rod on one wall, but I still need to install the doors I bought (after I paint them). They had a regular door on the laundry room, but it opened in and took up most of the room. I bought bi-fold doors that I'm going to have open out into the hallway and fold flat against the walls. That way I get to keep my laundry sorter and stuff inside the room. But for now, there's just not a door there at all, as I need to re-frame the door to get the bi-fold doors to fit perfectly.

(the hall hasn't really changed, other than adding my pictures)

I've put up the shelf to the right of the doorway and added my sorter and a rug since this picture.
