Garage

Not too much has been done to the garage (yet). We added a chest freezer and I took down some of the shelving, but I plan on getting rid of all of the hodge podge of shelving and cabinets and just putting shelving (with doors) across the front of the garage, next to the freezer (on the wall shared with the family room) and devise some sort of storage for the bikes that make them easily accessible. I'd like to clear EVERYTHING else out of the garage, and make it nice and barren. Yeah, I can dream, can't I?

The garage during the inspection:

Right after we moved in, part of the ceiling started to cave in. Wet plaster and sopping insulation everywhere! Turns out we didn't tighten the connections on the washer well enough, and it leaked. We pulled down all the wet stuff and eventually I put a temporary patch on the hole.

Finally found a use for those motivational posters! It is just a temporary fix because there's a large light fixture there (and a ceiling fan) that I would like to take down when I finish pulling out all that shelving.

I don't have any current pictures... which is good, because it is embarrasingly messy. I'll have some when I fix the wall where we took out the vent and where insulate where I stood with the hair dryer thawing out our pipes... Fun times, fun times.
