Temari - Japanese Thread Balls

Thus far, I've only completed there three - which I've given away and don't have any better pictures of. I have a bunch of styrofoam balls wound with thread as a base (you can use anything in the center, but I find starting out with something perfectly round is easier for me, though purists may want to start with something squishy and form it into a ball) and one of these days I'm going to get back to them. Mostly I think they make beautiful Christmas ornaments, though they can be used just as a table decoration, and I've seen the smaller ones used as jewelery. These are a bit large for that, as they are about 3" across. I also have a book that shows you how to make egg-shaped Temari balls, but I haven't tried that... yet. Hopefully I'll get some more done soon and have some more (better) pictures up...
