Okay, I know they are not technically tarts...

...but that's what I called them, and it stuck in my head. I made these after trying to remember the recipe for Keeflies (which I had totally wrong) and kinda combining it with a recipe I got from a co-worker where you cook jams with sugar and wrap them in pie crust. All I did here was cut pie crust dough into squares and add a cooked apple filing (bring chopped apple, sugar, and a dash of lemon juice to a boil in a saucepan, then cool). Fold (like a Keeflie) and sprinkle with granulated sugar. It's like a mini-apple pie, and easier than a true tart (though you could make them as tarts much the same way).
